The main thoroughfare which dissects the neighborhood is called Sunset Cliffs Boulevard, and this is almost completely residential in its makeup. Local area attractions

For instance, the Sunset Cliffs Natural Park embraces a full 68 acres, and is immediately adjacent to the Pacific Ocean at the western edge of Point Loma. From this location, it’s possible to enjoy some truly spectacular vistas, and it’s a wonderful spot for walking along the cliffs during the evening and enjoying one of the gorgeous San Diego sunsets which regularly occur.

One of the shops favored by locals include the Little Lion Café, which specializes in selling authentic Belgian waffles topped with berries and whipped cream. The chief attraction in the community itself is obviously Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, and the community itself is 9 miles due west from downtown San Diego, so the main part of the city is just a quick 10-minute drive away.

It is possible to go for a swim at the Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, but it’s best to do so at low tide, when the area tidepools are fully exposed, when you can also have a great deal of fun exploring for some of the area marine life.

It’s also allowable to take your dog with you on the beach, as long as it is secured on a leash, provided that you bring your dog before nine in the morning or after six p.m. in the evening. After you’ve enjoyed yourself there for a day or two, you can check out some of the other very popular area attractions. Ocean Beach Pier is just a mile away, so you’ll be able to enjoy some fishing or just some relaxing sun-worshiping.

Old Town is just four miles away, and there you can gain an understanding of what it was like in this area more than a century ago, with living history presentations regularly presented. Within three miles, you’ll be able to visit the Sea World San Diego attraction, and just five miles away you can spend some time at the USS Midway Museum.
