Art lovers will appreciate the Museum of Contemporary Art and the La Jolla Playhouse, both of which are very close to the village itself. Educational opportunities are provided at the University of California San Diego, where a number of international students attend the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. While La Jolla has any number of popular attractions both natural and man-made, the one feature which consistently draws droves of visitors to the area are its beautiful, world-class beaches.
